TYPES OF DOCUMENTS
Articles of Incorporation
You will need your Articles of Incorporation Apostilled:
- If you plan to expand your business to another country and need to prove that you are a legitimate business incorporated in the United States.
- if you are a foreign corporation who formed a corporation in the United States and need an Apostille of your documents.
An Articles of Incorporation establishes the reason for the enterprise and even a list of the incorporators, as well as the kinds of stock that can be used among other factors.
In order to process your documents, you will either need to mail in a Certified Copy issued directly from the Secretary of State (hard copy) or a recently issued online copy.
Please Note - in addition to obtaining an Apostille on your Articles of Incorporation, you may also be asked to Apostille additional Corporate Documents that we Apostille, such as:
- Authorization of Agent
- Authorization Letter for Bank, Finance Office, and other related company matters.
- Certificates of Amendment
- Certificate of Free Sale
- Certificate of Good Standing
- Certificate of Incumbency
- Certificate of Export (Commercial Invoice)
- Certificate of Merger (Merger Agreement)
- Certificate of Origin
- Corporate Resolution
- Power of Attorney
Apostilles only certify the authenticity of the signature of the official who signed the document, the capacity in which that official acted, and when appropriate, the identity of the seal or stamp which the document bears. The Apostille does not validate the contents of the document. Therefore, documents submitted to the Secretary of State for an Apostille (signature authentication) must have a current certification date by the appropriate public official or their deputy, in the State the document originated and was signed. ONLY THE ORIGINAL CERTIFIED DOCUMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. A Photocopy is not acceptable. Documents issued by the State and bear the signature and/or the stamp of an elected or appointed official such as the Articles of Incorporation must be an original Certificate or a Certified Copy. IT CANNOT BE NOTARIZED.
Once the original English Articles of Incorportation is retrieved you can mail them to us to be Apostilled. We can also provide Certified Translation Services into the language required by the Country of Designation.
