TYPES OF DOCUMENTS
Authorization of Agent
You will need an Authorization of Agent Apostilled for the bank, finance office or other related company matters, if you authorize an individual in another country to act on your behalf. This Authorization of Agent may bind you in a particular personal or business transaction with third party pursuant to an agency relationship. For example, if you authorize your father in Canada to sell your property and wire the funds to your bank account in the United States of America, an Authorization of Agent is needed.
We highly receommend that you hire an attorney in the country you are to create your Authorization of Agrent agreement(s) instead of creating your own Authorization of Agent document.
- An attorney will know the laws.
- An attorney will be able to prepare an Authorization of Agent that is written in both English and the foreign country's native language (highly recommended).
Some states will not Apostille documents that they cannot read. Please know, a Notary Public can notarize a document in a foreign language as long as they have identified you as the signer and properly attach an Acknowledgement that states you have signed the document.
Before an Authorization of Agent can receive the State Apostille, it must be signed and notarized. The signer of the document must physically appear before a Notary Public. Once notarized, the document can then be mailed to us for processing. Authorization of Agents can only be Apostilled in the State the document was signed and notarized in.
Once the original English Authorization of Agent is properly prepared you can mail it to us to be Apostilled. We can also provide Certified Translation Services into the language required by the Country of Designation.
