TYPES OF DOCUMENTS
United States Bankruptcy Court Documents
In order to file for Bankruptcy you must file a petition through a Federal, United States Bankruptcy Court. Bankruptcy cases cannot be filed in local or State courts. This filed petition must also include a statement of your assets and liabilities (Balance Statement), as well as schedules that list your creditors.
Foreign countries and organizatations will often require United States Bankruptcy Documents to be Apostilled so that the documents can be used for official personal, work or legal purposes outside the United States of America. This means that the documents have to be Apostilled correctly before you travel abroad internationally and usually within a specific time period.
The Bankruptcy Records Retrieval Company should be able to assist you retrieving your United States Bankruptcy Court Documents.
United States Bankruptcy Court Documents are United States Federal Government Documents issued by one of the United States Bankruptcy Courts and can only be Apostilled through the United States Department of State (USDOS) in Washington D.C.. These documents cannot be notarized, copy certified, and no State Office can process these documents. All United States Federal Documents are processed through the United States Secretary of State or the United States Department of State.
Once we receive your documents, in order to minimize errors and processing time, we verify all documents received before submitting them to be Apostilled. We will contact you as soon as possible if any errors are encountered and we will instruct you on how they need to be corrected.
Obtaining an Apostille can be a complicated process and should not be left to someone who does not understand all of the steps involved. Untrained persons that do not understand all of the requirements for legalization in each country are more likely to make errors, which will severely delay the Apostille process and cost you more money.
Once the original English United States Bankruptcy Court Documents are properly received you can mail them to us to be Apostilled. We can also provide Certified Translation Services into the language required by the Country of Designation.
