TYPES OF DOCUMENTS
Vehicle Title Registration (DMV)
You will need to have your Vehicle Title Registration from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Apostilled if:
- You are going to to register your vehicle in a foreign country
- A foreign country is requesting an Apostille of your Vehicle Registration
- You own the vehicle and plan to use it in the foreign country
- The seller (transferrer) has sold the vehicle to you and you need to register it in the foreign country
In order for us to process your Vehicle Title Registration, you must mail in the original signed and notarized copy to our office.
The Seller (Transferrer) of the Vehicle is in the United States - He/she can meet with a local Notary who will witness the seller (transferrer) signing the documents. Once signed and notarized the document(s) can be mailed to our office to be Apostilled.
The Seller (Transferrer) of the Vehicle is NOT in the United States - Visit the closest United States Embassy and meet with a Notary Public there. Please note - most notarizations are by appointment.
Once signed and notarized the document(s) can be mailed to our office to be Apostilled. Once we receive your documents, in order to minimize errors and processing time, we verify all documents received from notaries before submitting them to be Apostilled. We will contact you as soon as possible if any errors are encountered and we will instruct you on how they need to be corrected. A Vehicle Title Registration can only be Apostilled in the State the document was issued, signed, and notarized in.
Obtaining an Apostille can be a complicated process and should not be left to someone who does not understand all of the steps involved. Untrained persons that do not understand all of the requirements for legalization in each country are more likely to make errors, which will severely delay the Apostille process and cost you more money.
Once the original English Vehicle Title Registration is properly prepared you can mail them to us to be Apostilled. We can also provide Certified Translation Services into the language required by the Country of Designation.
