Generally documents from the United States that are to be presented to countries (sometimes referred to as states) that do not belong and adhere to the Hague Convention usually require:
PLEASE NOTE
- ALL documents written in a foreign language that require a U.S. Department of State Authentication must be accompanied by a Certified Translation when presented to the U.S. Department of State.
- We can only assist with documents that originate from the United States.
* Some states Apostilles' are issued by the Lieutenant Governor or Secretary of the Commonwealth instead of the Secretary of State.
** Some Federal Documents can be Apostilled by the Clerk of the Court (an authorized Competent Authority).
