COUNTY CERTIFICATIONS
One of the biggest challenges in the Apostille process is the unique document and the state and federal government requirements one must meet before the document is valid for an Apostille. In most cases you will need to obtain an original, Certified Copy of the document you are required to Apostille, before the Apostille process can begin. This is why we require you to scan or fax a copy of your document to to us before you mail us the originals. This allows us to review the documents to ensure they meet all of the requirements for Apostille and Legalization.
In some cases we can Apostille photocopies of documents, in which case you would just need to upload a clear color scan of the document and submit it to us. However, this method, although widely accepted in most states, does have limitations depending on the government authority you are presenting the document to and the Country of Destination. Once we are able to review your document we can then advise you of these restrictions, but there is no guarantee that this method will be accepted.
You can also order certificates of birth, marriage, divorce or death from most U.S. states on Vitalcheck.com and indicate our office address where the copies will be delivered. However, not all states will allow shipping to a third party, in which case, you will need to provide your mailing address and forward the documents to us once you receive them.
