The National Notary Association (NNA), founded in 1957, is the leading authority on the American Notary Public office and recognized nationally and internationally as the preeminent and promulgator of ethical best practices for U.S. Notaries in each U.S. State.
As the largest and oldest organization serving the nation’s 4.4 million Notaries, the nonprofit professional Association serves a membership that represents every U.S. state and jurisdiction — and many other countries — by promoting notarial best practices that bolster consumer protection and by inspiring Notaries to excel in their important role as deterrents to fraud.
Working to preserve the Notary’s national public trust, the NNA also promotes understanding about the Notary’s important role and duties in society.
