All Identification Cards Must:

  • Be Original
  • Be Current or Issued Within the Last 5 Years
  • Contain a Photo
  • Contain a Physical Description
  • Contain a Signature
  • Contain a Serial Number
Identification procedures are mandated by the California Secretary of State. The following are acceptable forms of Identification
  • California Driver's License
  • Other State Driver's License
  • US Military ID Card
  • California ID Card
  • Other State ID Card
  • United States Passport
  • Foreign Passports Stamped by US Customs
  • Canada Driver's License
  • Mexico Driver's License
  • Inmate ID Card
The name you will be signing on the document Must match or be SHORTER THAN the name on the ID.
EXAMPLE: Document Signature John Smith for ID Name John Adam Smith.
An ID in your maiden name along with a marriage license Evidencing your married name is not acceptable.
